Banksy’s <strikethru>Girl With Balloon</strikethru> Love in the Bin. My theory: two canvases a pre-cut version spews out as the main one is drawn down. Excuse for being on here: Street art :-) https://www.sothebys.com/en/articles ... [more]

At an exhibition of Modern and contemporary African art. This piece doesn’t ‘do’ anything like play records as far as I could tell.

Several hundred riders on Stop Killing Cyclists’ first Pedal on Parliament ride and die in, passing through Aldwych.

Hidden cycle parking at the Royal Academy - for staff or students, I suspect.

Cycle parking at the Royal Academy - more needed!

Quietway 1, Covent Garden, London

South Carriageway closed to vehicles westbound, for no obvious reason - no mention that the shared-use route is open for cycling.

No cycling on this cut-through

Strongly marked CS8 past a bus stop.

Confusing markings - the arrow is for motor traffic, not CS8, which goes straight ahead - but NCN route 4 does turn left here.

On- and off-road routes in both directions.

CS8 turns left here across Chelsea Bridge, while NCN route 4 continues ahead.

Experimental cycle route by Buckingham Palace. I don't know how you're meant to get onto it northbound.

It would be logical for the cycle route to continue west to the end of Kensington Gardens, but the Royal Parks have never cared much about logic.

Sign to the right off Cycle Superhighway 53, along South Carriage Drive, Hyde Park. Why not tell us where the route goes ahead?

Cycle Superhighway 53, along Constitution Hill. It's fairly obvious where the cyclists are meant to go, but there are still plenty of cyclists on the road, and pedestrians on the cycleway.

Somerset House - so popular now, so little cycle parking.

The new Pashley bikes for TfL's bike-sharing scheme all have Blaze Laserlights - I find it a bit disconcerting to be on the road with all these green lights bouncing around, but I suppose I'll get used to it.
